MEET MAGGI & CHARLIE

(& THE FARM DOGS LOLA, MAX & PEGGY)

A very warm welcome to South Worden Farm

The farm is owned and run by  Maggi and her partner Charlie and their 3 dogs, Lola, Max and the latest addition to the family  Peggy the Jack Russell.

Since they bought the farm in 2013, they have worked hard to improve the landscape, whilst protecting the environment and the natural beauty they are surrounded by.

They have invested in the land - relaying old hedges, clearing ancient walkways, carefully managing the rare culm pasture land and have planted over 3,000 trees. The addition of a Duck-Pond and small lake has encouraged even more wildlife to the farm.

Maggi and Charlie are artisan smallholders and specialise in rare breeds. They have Oxford Sandy & Black pigs, West Of England Geese and Devon Long Wool sheep as well as   Pygmy Goats, Geese, Ducks and Chickens.  Always enough fresh produce for breakfast at South Worden!

When they are not attending to their animals Maggi runs the business side of the farm and deals with all the bookings for the holiday lets. She is extremely proud of what she offers and welcomes back many happy families each year. Charlie is a Registered Independent Child Psychologist and works part time across the South West.

Maggi and Charlie both look forward to welcoming all their guests to South Worden - whether they are first timers or old friends - and hope to help create wonderful holidays with great memories.

South Worden Farm is such an amazing place.

"Maggi, Charlie and Lola greet you like old friends, making your holiday truly memorable.

The accommodation in Billy's Barn cannot be faulted. Everything you could ask for is there, accompanied by stunning views of the local countryside.

It's such a tranquil place to be. We were sad leaving this special setting but vowed to go back next year. Think Chester our boxer is missing Lola. He's been really subdued since we got home. We'd recommend a stay here in a heartbeat."
