ON THE FARM

Set on a small farm within 15 acres of rare Culm and Pastureland, with distant views to rolling hills and Dartmoor beyond, we offer a wonderful setting for nature lovers.  We have a range of regular visitors, from a local herd of Deer, to Swallows in the Summer and impressive flocks of Starlings and their nightly Murmurations in the Winter.

We are also home to the rare Marsh Fritillary Butterfly who has settled on our Marshland.  We are working closely with Devon Wildlife Trust to manage the habitat - you can come and help if you would like to.

On the farm, we have a wide variety of animals including, rare breed Oxford Sandy and Black Pigs, Pygmy Goats, Sheep, Ducks, Chickens, Geese, Cats, (and) our two wonderful black labradors, Max and Lola and new addition Peggie the Jack Russell.

By arrangement, you would be more than welcome to give us a hand at feeding time or take a leisurely stroll through the fields past our lake, through the marshland to the stream.

The farm is also home to the (North Devon Open) South Worden Farm Disc Golf Championship, part of the British Disc Golf Association national tour. (as such) If you fancy trying your hand at this strangely addictive sport, Charlie Mead (former World Champion Disc Golfer and Course designer) will be more than happy to offer some guidance

"South Worden Farm is such an amazing place. Maggi, Charlie and Lola greet you like old friends, making your holiday truly memorable.  The accommodation in Billy's Barn cannot be faulted. Everything you could ask for is there, accompanied by stunning views of the local countryside. It's such a tranquil place to be. We were sad leaving this special setting but vowed to go back next year.  We'd recommend a stay here in a heartbeat.Gary T
